A New Seaplane Airline is Coming to the Bahamas
It was recently announced that a new airline with a lineup of seaplanes, called COCO Seaplanes is making its way to the Bahamas. COCO Seaplanes is a fully Bahamian-owned airline, and it will really allow travel and tourism to expand throughout the Bahamas. The announcement came from the Kamalame Cay Resort chairman Brian Hew, and the airline is expected to make its debut in the coming months. COCO Seaplanes is expected to bring trustworthy and efficient travel within the Bahamas, and it will lessen the inconveniences of flying hefty aircraft that are not beneficial or profitable. This is a positive incentive for the government here, as they do not have to funnel money into large expansions and renovations on airports and aircraft due to the way COCO Seaplanes have been created and structured.
The new airline will boast a fleet of Cessna 208 Caravan Amphibians, crews with two pilots, and extraordinary safety measures. The airline plans to fly between Nassau and nine of the other islands throughout the Bahamas, at least to begin with. The full routes of COCO have not been released yet, but they are expected to drop soon. The Bahamas has seen a large decline in tourism in the last couple of years, which has always been a primary source of revenue for this country.
